KTT...my friends =)

The past 1.5 years have been really awesome. It's been the first time I stepped out of the comfort of the house and ventured into the outside world.
I've decided to just blog about the people whom I have stayed and bonded with over the last couple of months.

I shall start with my roomie. I really thank God that I had such a great person as my roommate in KTT
A fantastic guitar player and
supports Manchester United ( unfortunately...but it made it more fun anyway). We decided on becoming roommates after meeting online and at the MIED Award Ceremony He's been really awesome throughout the 1.5 years and I doubt I'll get anyone like him in India =)
SHAWN PAUL!!!

Up next is my housemate, classmate and one of my best friends in KTT. When Selvan came in with a shirt and jeans( what a 1st impression that was..haha) both Shawn and me were like who's this guy? We ended up being really close. Another crazy Man U fan( i'm outnumbered in my own apartment!!). Loves to play games. My badminton partner and kick about partner.
He's the Physics expert in out house and I think I spent more time with him then anyone else in KTT.haha...he's probably well known for disturbing girls...especially Man See;)

And then there is Dhana. A fantastic leader. He's one of those guys that you can say is born to be a leader. Well loved by alot of the juniors. A relatively new Liverpool fan =) and he's really good with project too. Dhana's probably one of the most popular guys and well known by all the lecturers.Oh! and how can I ever forget this... he's an amazing cook! I hope to come back during KI being able to cook like him.

Liverpool versus Manchester United.Who says they can't work together?

Chai Siew Yap is definitely the strongest person in KTT. An extremely positive guy and has been an inspiration to every student in KTT as he is fighting cancer. May God bless him and that he recovers completely from it. A fantastic badminton player. Chai entered KTT being really really nerdy. He hardly came out of his apartment and at that time, he worshipped a senior called Ken. Chinese New Year changed things when he came back with a new hairstyle and came out from his shell and started becoming the outgoing person like he was in school. He's my neighbour in KTT and a frequent visitor to our apartment. I can vividly remember him knocking the door everynight and entering our apartment with his laptop.

The transformation of Chai after Chinese New Year!

The following guy is a great sportsman and a wonderful friend.Beh Jun Hua is a fantastic basketball and table tennis player. A good runner and we use to race sooooo many times.lol...u owe me dinner!! jkjk
He is a guy with a mind of his own and has his own way of doing things. I'm really going to miss him and all the ' heart to heart conversations' we had :)
Keep on running beh!!
Both of us during Graduation Dinner

KELVIN YONG and ERIC TAN
These two are also my opposite neighbours. Both of them are great in sports too. Eric played football for Johor while Kelvin played tennis and table tennis for Sarawak. Both of them are my regular football mates and it has been great fun knowing them.

Eric in pink during the Cf Xmas Party

haha...i stole your facebook picture

*JOEL LIM*
One of the nicest guys in KTT. Trully a great friend and he has helped us alot from helping us buy stuff from giant to sharing exam tips. I've never heard anyone laugh as loud and as crazy as this guy, it is really unique. A very kind guy and he is KTT's movie database. He rarely came out during A2 and his favourite food in KTT is probably maggi and instant porridge (I know that you are absolutely sick and tired of eating those two things already)

*Chua Ian Bin*
This guy used to be KTT's sleeping beauty till he met lynn. He used to be the most playful guy in tangga 11 and is the basketball star of KTT =). Dota Addict! and an avid Manchester United supporter. He has since appeared to be more mature and controlled after AS..LOL

This was probably taken during his 'glory days' ;)

The next guy is really one of a kind. I'll probably never meet anyone like Daniel Chong anywhere else in the world. Really smart guy and very sociable.I think he could just go and sit at any table and make friends. He's lovingly remembered as Beautiful Boy from Orientation Week and he's the CF vice President. The picture of him after this sums him up. One of the members of my 'dinner group' and ardent supporter of Aunty Saba's food. I'm gonna miss those messages before lunch man~! :(

....and then there's Choong and Cheng. Staying really close to Pak Cik Parang. If there's anything you want to know about PCP, its best you ask them because they see him everyday. Choong's the super computer genius and he is the one who he look for if there's any problem with our laptops and games.
Cheng's a nice guy and another guy who loves sports. He's the only person I know from Kota Belud and is a great tennis player. He is also obsessed with Shawn's XPS

aww...so sweet=)
Introducing One of The Geniuses of our batch. ZEFF!! He is a really soft spoken and humble guy. I hardly heard him laugh or talk for almost one year. All that changed thanks to Daniel and Queenie. He has that coolness and calmness when he speaks. I really love it when he just has to utter 1 word...yup...just 1 word and its enough to make Daniel and Queenie dumbfounded.Pure brilliance. I'm sure he has read more books and watched more movies then anyone else in KTT.

and then there's Queenie...who basically just hangs out with the guys. Its always great entertainment for me when Daniel and Queenie start fighting. They can go on and on the whole day( or night) She looked great during prom though=)

Now all the friends I made during CF. I think all of the CF members were really close and bonded well espeacially after the various activities held.

Lim Sue Ting (AKA SUSU)
She's KTT's SUPERWOMAN! :) She's been an awesome friend. You can totally count on her for anything. A great leader that followed the footsteps of Andrew( our senior). I think she's one person whom I can sit down and talk with her in the cafe for ages.Susu is really amazing as she puts God first in everything that she does and I admire that alot.

*JOANNA*
I like her alot because she chose the rite path in supporting Liverpool. She's another person realy dedicated to CF and one of the few people smart enough to support Liverpool in KTT. I think supporting Liverpool actually builds one's character because or the torments we constantly receive from all those Man U fans. She's a great captainball player too and someone I definitely like to have on my team every Tuesdays.=)

Semangat Liverpool during Christmas Party (CF)

*Lynthia Wong*
The first thing that comes to my mind when Lynthia's name is mentioned is tennis! haha..She's a trained tennis player from Miri so don't mess with her. When it comes to watching tennis, I don't mind sitting next to year when Federer's playing because she's Federer's Number 1 fan in KTT and her expressions during the match is amazing. I want to play with her at least one time during KI( after practising with Kelvin and Cheng). She's really a bubbly and super friendly person and I'm going to miss that during the holidays.

Lynthia acting super emo after Pre A2

*Chai Lian*
A very quiet person.A Sibu gangstress. I don't really know much about her but all I really know is that she and Beh make a sweet couple.

LOL =)

JENE ( JA=) )
She's Indon bound and has already gone off to Indonesia. One of my best friends in KTT and I've never met a girl that likes Manchester United as much as her. A very friendly person and I really miss the times we all makan together in the cafe =)
ALL THE BEST IN INDONESIA!!!

*Shalini*
She's definitely one of my classmate's that I speak to the most. At one glance, one would'nt think that this petite girl from Klang watches football at all. It turns out that she's another crazy Man Utd supporter but I like the way she makes sense when saying anything about Liverpool.A very fair person and is good in English..LOL
Yup...this is what I was talking about. You'll Never Walk Alone

Next is a girl that can say beautiful prayers. Hui Fen~! She definitely had the most memorable birthday party in KTT. All the flour and water...I shall never forget that day. Hui Fen is one of the nicest people I know in KTT. She's not fondly called mummy by all the girls for nothing.

The next two people are really talented in music. Sharon and Felicia have performed many times during certain events in KTT . The performance during the Graduation Dinner was really amazing because it felt as if they were professionals.Reminded me of the times when my family went on vacation and relaxed at the hotel lobby.Sharon used to be a captainball fanatic but transformed completely during A2. Felicia on the other hand is famous for her warming up before jogging.I bet she's the only one that does proper exercise.=)

They all look elegant:)

*Joey*
One of my first friends in KTT. I think I met her on recom before coming to KTT. Shawn's Soulmate=)

*My Wildboar--> Liying*
Here's a person that I met on facebook after 3 MONTHS studying in KTT. If I can remember, it was perhaps during the water crisis in Sepang. She's an extremely smart student and can be very crazy at times.A good runner and was the Olahragawati for Feskott in KTT.She's also one of my close friends in KTT and I want to thank her for being a great friend.

After FESKOTT

@ Man SEE @
This person is the most SS girl I've ever met. hahaha. She's great fun and Selvan and me used to disturb her alot! The great thing about her is that she never gets angry at all and don't be fooled by her size, she's like a chili padi. I see her jogging almost everyday and she has got to be the most consistent people around the field.

and last but not least......

* CHRISTINE TAN*

My beloved jogging partner!!!!.She's the most athletic girl I've ever met in my short life and it was really fun to jog with her. A great company and I used to study with her for some time. She gets really scary during the exam period but most of the time, she's super nice.LOL. I'll always remember the time when I was in hospital, she was amazing=) I'm really going to miss her company though especially during the evenings..and HEY...YOU STILL NEED TO TEACH ME ONE THING!! SQUASH~!!

From Penang To Dengue with Love =)

Finally I have the time to sit down and update my dead blog. AS ended about 2 weeks ago and it was ok overall...except perhaps chemistry paper 2. My semester holidays were spent in Penang, Teluk Intan and Selangor Specialist Centre(lol).

Briefly about Penang
WE (Shawn, Dhana, Selvan, Chai and me) went there via the train. I think it was the Langkawi Express. Definitely an interesting experience going by train but lets just say that I'll be taking Air Asia the next time i go there.
Penang was good. Especially THE FOOD!! I think I easily gained 1.5 kg there( all lost when I got dengue fever a week later T.T)
We went to places like Kek Lok Si and Batu Maung War Museum.Oh yea, we met up with Christine too and she brought us to the beautiful Botanical Gardens. (thanx alot ya!!) It was a fun trip la overall.
*mental note * for more about the Penang Trip, visit Shawn's blog---> see!!! im promoting ur blog here!! im too lazy to write about penang.

lets just cut it short... straight to the action...

DENGUE FEVER!!!!

The Stupid Aedes mosquito that bit me 2 weeks earlier. =(

After coming back from Penang, the second day to be exact, I had very high fever lasting 3 days. It did not go down at all for the 1st 3 days and I had to be sponged by my mum for a few nights. Imagine having a bath at 3am to cool down your body!
So on the 4th day of fever, I was still occasionally vomitting and had no appetitie to eat anything, my parents brought me for a bloodtest and tadaa!! It confirmed I had Dengue Fever and I had to be admitted in hospital for 4 days. The worst part about it was having your blood taken by the nurses at least 2 times a day.

This is just some info about dengue fever i thought would be useful for people's general knowledge
Symptoms:
'

What are the signs and symptoms of dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever?

Dengue fever usually starts suddenly with a high fever, rash, severe headache, pain behind the eyes, and muscle and joint pain. The severity of the joint pain has given dengue the name "breakbone fever." Nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite are common. A rash usually appears 3 to 4 days after the start of the fever. The illness can last up to 10 days, but complete recovery can take as long as a month( i hope it won't be this long)haha . Older children and adults are usually sicker than young children.

Most dengue infections result in relatively mild illness, but some can progress to dengue hemorrhagic fever. With dengue hemorrhagic fever, the blood vessels start to leak and cause bleeding from the nose, mouth, and gums. Bruising can be a sign of bleeding inside the body. Without prompt treatment, the blood vessels can collapse, causing shock (dengue shock syndrome). Dengue hemorrhagic fever is fatal in about 5 percent of cases, mostly among children and young adults.'

Basically you will get this very high fever lasting a few days so thats when you shoud immediately go and get your blood checked. I didn't have all the symptoms la...no rashes and body aches.

You might want to take note about what I'm going to write next. Could come in handy for the future.Spread the word !!

REMEDIES for INCREASING BLOOD PLATELET COUNT!!!

1. Papayas..the unripe papaya juice and papaya leaves (extremely bitter)

2. Watermelon Juice (really nice to drink this!!). Perhaps the best tasting of all. =)

3. Crab soup( very delicious)
4. Black Chicken Soup ( its not as bad as it looks...its actually quite nice)
5. Date juice.

HAVE FUN TRYING!!( the remedies of cause) though...try not to get bitten by this mosquito.

Feskott , My Story

(My only pictures from Feskott. Top most pic- with Li ying(Olahragawati). Centre- Getting some prize during the Sports Day. Bottom- Winning the 4x400m)

Festival Sukan Kolej Teknologi Timur(FESKOTT). It has been slightly more than a month since Feskott and I thought I might as well put it in my blog as it has got to be one of the highlights in KTT every year.( I'm writing this so that I can look back at this event when I'm old and can no longer run)

Basically Feskott is just like any school sports day except that there are more events like football, volleyball etc. During my schooling years, Sports Day was always one of the days that I eagerly wait for. There was plenty of motivation to excell in sports during my time in school ie. getting JPA, marks for KOKO. Now that I'm already in KTT, Sports Day had no real significance for me.

At the start of Feskott, I only wanted to participate in badminton and Larian Mesra( it is a very much shorter version of my school's cross country). The event that I wanted to win most was badminton because I've never entered a doubles competition before this and I really wanted to win it with Selvan.

So, Selvan and me breezed through the Yellow house selection (seriously , our house badminton team sucked) but only when we were selected did we know that badminton was a team event. There goes all the hope of winning the event. Nevertheless, me and Selvan still participated (semangat kesukanan rite? dont wanna let down ur house) and made it as a personal challenge to win all our matches. We won all of games but as expected, our teammates let us down. WE DIDN'T EVEN WIN A BRONZE MEDAL.

I mentioned earlier that the events that I only wanted to participate in was Larian Mesra and badminton. Somehow, Rahim managed to persuade me to join football and after some indecision, I entered Olahraga as well. Football has always been my favourite past time ever since 1996 but since coming to KTT, I hardly kick a ball. My team managed to win a gold medal in football and I felt that I really didn't contribute much to my team's success. Lack of match practice I suppose.haha. My first ever gold medal in football. I've played in many finals during primary and secondary school but everytime I fall short of winning it. So, it was my 1st ever win in a football final. Perhaps a good omen for Athletics and Larian Mesra.

The Feskott was held for a 1 week period ( 16-21 march). The track events were on the last day and so was Larian Mesra. Larian Mesra was an event that I trained for at least 2 weeks prior to Feskott. I ran about 4km everyday and that itself was an achievement since i never liked training in school. Running to the Stadium was really fun and a great challenge actually thanks to my training partners : Christine(the fastest girl in KTT), Shawn and Selvan.

So, on the 21st of March, I had to first run 4km for the Larian Mesra (started about 8.20am) and then take part of other events like 800m, 4x400m and 4x100m. I didn't want to take my favourite event because it would be just too tiring considering the fact that i ran 4km in the morning. Before the start of the 1st event, I couldn't help but think if it was a mistake to take part in the cross country as it could jeopardize my chances in the other events later that day. I remember the time when i was in form 5, I took part in 5 events and lost 200m because of fatigue. The only difference from then and now is that I am very much fitter now than I was then. The running to the Stadium must have surely have helped.

So there I was in the starting line of the Larian Mesra. It was the most pathetic start to a cross country that I've ever participated in.Usually there is a gun/ loud horn, but this time it was only a whistle. I didn't even hear the lecturer saying 'On your marks, Set...' So, I started about 0.5seconds slower than the rest. My strategy that day was just to follow the pacesetter and kill them off at the end. However, about 1/4th of the race( the uphill part of the race) , the pacesetters started to slow down to walking pace. Honestly Shawn, you could have beaten them with your spirit. I grabbed the chance to take over the lead(though it was not as planned). I kept glancing back after that to see if anyone was creeping up behind me. I saw nobody. So I just ran at a respectable pace , arrived at the stadium. At the stadium, it was just as pathetic as the start. The whole place was deserted apart from a few organisers and some of the girls that just completed the race. I was honestly hoping for a much better atmosphere in the Stadium but what can you expect from KTT. The finishing line was even worse. There were 2 people holding pieces of paper and pens , writing down the names of the winners. Maybe I am spoiled by the grand nature of my school's cross country and sports day but this must be a joke. Normally, at the very least there will be a tape across the finishing line with students cheering on the runners. Yes, I know I should be thankful that I won the race ( I am) but KTT should improve all these tiny things.

I rested a while untill my next event which was the 800m. Just before the race, I prayed that I would have the energy to finish the race strongly. Thank God! I managed to win it and the confidence and self believe was there in me. For the girls category, it was interesting to watch the battle of the 2 Titans ie Christine and Li ying. Both of them were a class above the other girls in the track events that day. I have to make a confession here.I was not actually supporting my Yellow house AKA Stingerz . I was just basically supporting my friends on that day. It didn't matter to me if my house lost or won. So yea, I was cheering on Susu, Ashwin, Christine, Liying and other people I knew. It is always great to share the joy with your friends. I always believe that it is better if many people succeed together than you alone being successful. I also appreciated the fact that Shawn come early in the morning( albeit to drive joey's car) and stayed in the Stadium until my events were over.

Next event in the morning was the last event for the morning session. 4x400m. I've always enjoyed this event more than any other track events. (partly due to the fact that i've never lost this event-I've been blessed with great teammates over the years) I was the 4th runner and by the time I received the baton, I was well clear of the 2nd placed team. All I had to do was to maintain the lead. So, for the 2nd time during Feskott I won an event because of the help of my teammates.( the first was football) I loved it when I ran the last 100m, finally some cheering and a sportsday-like feel to Feskott.

After my event, I went back to college, showered and rested a while before my final event, 4x100m, an event which I have never had much luck with over the years. The wait was just so energy sapping. The lecturers forced students to CRAM into the small tents in the centre of the field. It was ridiculously hot and I got a headache from just sitting there. We had to wait for ages for the VIPs to arrive. (it seems to be a KTT tradition that the VIPs arrive late at every function)

The closing ceremony was agonisingly long. DANCE after DANCE after DANCE...zzzz. Then there was a march past, formation etc. Then more dancing, speeches and dancing again. Almost not like a sporting event anymore. Finally after an extremely LONG closing ceremony, the final events started. I was quite dissapointed as it seemed that KTT had got the whole Sports Day thing wrong. Too many dances. Its like deviating from the main idea of the whole feskott. (Sorry to all the dancers, no hard feelings, the dancing was good but KTT...pls lah...Sports Day means focus more on Sporting events lah)

So, yea I went on to win the 4x100m with the help of my teammates again and was crowned the Olahragawan title. Something that I've only ever won in primary school. It was a good achievement but to me, its just a one-day thing. The next day, its back to class and people will forget all about FESKOTT.

Lastly, I would like to thank all you people for supporting me during the FESKOTT..Shawn and Selvan for supporting me. Dhana for helping me with my bags in the morning eventhough you were busy with your deco work.( Thank God I have really great housemates) Liying for your encouraging text msgs during the super long closing ceremony.=) n Christine..thanx 4 teman-ing me 2 d stadium..haha

Walk On With Hope In Your Heart !

Its been ages since I last blogged. Liverpool were on a bad run of form back in January and it seemed to have ruined their chances for their quest to regain supremacy over England. I personally thought that it was all over for Liverpool after many dreadful performances and a string of draws thoughout January and February. Their defeat against Middlesborough on the 27th of February summed it up. But since their thumping of Real Madrid and Manchester United within a space of 1 week in March, they have been simply breathtaking at times. They are now back in the hunt for their 19th title with 7 matches still to go. That week ( when Liverpool thrased MU and Madrid) was really one of the best weeks for me as a Liverpool fan. My top 5 moments as a Liverpool supporter.

5. The treble of 2001. I remember watching the FA cup final against Arsenal. Micheal Owen struck twice in the last 10 minutes to help Liverpool win. I also remember the UEFA cup final against Alaves. What a final it was. Liverpool coming up top with a 5-4 victory. The other trophy that Liverpool won that season was the Carling Cup.

4. The defeat of Chelsea in the semi finals of the Champions League 04/05. Chelsea were deemed too strong for Liverpool before the match but a collective team effort saw Liverpool making it to the finals of the Champions League for the 1st time in 20 years.I'm sure most of you remember the goal (that might have/might not have) crossed the goaline by Luis Garcia. I particularly remember the 7 minutes of added time during that match. Total Crap ...and Chelsea almost scored too.

3.Winning the FA Cup 2006. That was definitely the best final in the World's Oldest Cup competition's history. Liverpool were trailing 2-0 against West Ham during the first half before a Gerrard-inspired Liverpool cameback to win the match on penalties. I vividly remember the extra time goal by Gerrard from about 40 yards out. I was on my way upstairs ( to bed) when he scored to level the scores at 3-3. Liverpool of course went on to win on penalties =)

2. The week that I had just mentioned. Beating the so called giants of Europe 4-0 at Anfield and THRASHING the English/European/World? Champions Manchester United 4-1( and did I mention it was in Old Trafford as well). The Manchester game was really amazing and I was really glad as it shut all the arrogant Man U supporters mouths for at least 1 whole night. I can remember them laughing at their team when Liverpool scored their 4th goal. God knows what was going through their minds at that time.It showed that Liverpool had the quality to challenge the top teams in Europe but I'm still not so sure about sustaining the challenge.

1. ISTANBUL 2005. The Great Comeback- Liverpool Style =). It was the best moment for me as a Liverpool fan and most of the younger generation that support Liverpool FC. 3-0 down, certainly game over but somehow they managed to claw their way back into the game and win it on penalties.

The future looks bright for Liverpool at the moment. Though I'm still not convinced that they will win the league this season, they have certainly made progress since last year.I believe that Liverpool lost the league in January when they failed to win any of their matches. Slowly but surely, they are closing the gap to Manchester United and Chelsea.
My predictions for this year :
BPL winners: Manchester United (unless they suddenly collapse...that would be a miracle)
UCL winners: Barcelona

I'll end with the lyrics of this world famous song which shows the spirit and character of Liverpool Football Club =) Enjoy! (YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE)

When you walk through the storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark

Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Curtain falls on 2008...Welcome 2009!!

It has been an extremely long time since i last sat down and blogged and we already well into 2009.I think I have to start where I left off. When I went back to KTT in December after the 2 weeks break, it was the beginning of the 2nd Semester. The highlight before Christmas I suppose was the CF's Christmas night.

There was carolling and we also watched a movie, Pay It Forward during the Christmas Night. The movie almost put me to sleep...definitely not my kind of movie. It was too slow. (no offense Susu)

Liverpool vs Manchester United. Equally poised =)

During Christmas Night. Tangga 11 united. (Eric'c 1st time in CF also)

Look how excited Chua and me are being the ushers before the event.

Christmas was really great. We had a family gathering in Kulai and almost everyone in my mum's side were there. Some of whom I haven't seen for about 5 years. I went for mass at CDM, Shah Alam and travelled to Johor on Christmas day itself. I drove about half the journey to Johor. It was definitely the furthest I've ever driven. One bad thing about the highway leading down South is that its only 2 lanes. Hope they upgrade the highways in Johor. Pity all those Johorians people especially when there are many crazy lorry drivers that overtake and hold up traffic in the process.

During Christmas, I played a game that I've never played before. PAINTBALL!! Paintball was really awesome.Everyone should play this game at least once in their life time. But be forewarned, when you get shot especially at close range, it hurts. Well, you can't call it paintball without the Pain right? My advice to those people who have not played this game, wear at least 2 layers of clothing to lessen the impact of getting shot. I got a couple of bruises on my leg and a few cuts on my arm.I also think that being taller is a disadvatage in paintball as you're an easy target for opponents as I found out on numerous occasions.I thoroughly enjoyed playing with all my uncles and cousins and I will definitely want a rematch as my team lost the game badly.( No beginners luck for me)

Me and my family, before going for midnight mass.

The 'Paliath War' . My team is just about to step into the battlefield...and get annihilated!! ;)

Me with a few of my cousins in Kulai.

One of the best moments during each Christmas=)
Yup...thats my Liverpool bag.

I played a friendly futsal match for my cousin's team in Kulai too. It was though. I never liked futsal that much because you can't really run with the ball. Field football is obviously way better.(because I can run pass people)

Oh yea, I almost forgot. I played badminton in an indoor court. Something that we KTTians can only dream off in our college. A really fun Xmas indeed, just the way I like it with all te sporting activities.
After Christmas, Shawn, Selvan and me decided came back to KTT on the 29th of December. We decided prior to the Christmas break that we should come back early to study here(although classes only begin on the 5th of January)Exams were only 3 weeks away thus the reason for our decision. I guess we covered alot during the few days that we were there so it was a benefitial stay. KTT was deserted apart from a few Malay students and the cafe food was really bad. Ended up eating bread most of the time.

On New Year's eve, i went out to Sunway Pyramid with Shawn, Selvan, Joey and Li Ying. Joey drove and I experienced something that I've never experienced in a car before... screeching tyres. Not that she's bad driver, but we nearly overshot a turning. (She's not a bad driver in actual fact, better then Chua)
It was about 8pm that day when we all decided to go to KLCC for the countdown. Great experience there as well. The fireworks there was the best i've seen live.( Beijng Olympics not counted la)

At KLCC park...just before midnight.

Interesting deco in front of Sunway Pyramid.

One of the longest waits for the lift, got bored so Shawn started camwhoring.=)

2009!!!

Well, people normally have new year's resolutions at the start of each year. I don't normally have one because my target at the start of each year is basically to do my best in studies and get good results. This year, I've decided to write them down.

1.Get 4 As' for AS and A2.
2.Be fitter, improve football and badminton
3.Try to read the bible more often.
4.Make sure I'm not underweight ;)
5.Pick up as many tamil and mandarin words
Thats about it I guess.Short but certainly not simple.
Now about the 1st day of class in 2009.5th January, I'll remember this day for a very very long time. I woke up earlier than usual( 1st day, so extra semangat). Got ready, had breakfast and just skimmed through a few pages of the physics textbook before the class. But then, some drama before class. I tried to open the lock on the grill and once again I couldn't open it. I tried for 5 minutes at least but the lock just wouldn't open. A sense of deja vu overcame me. I wasn't going to miss the 1st class of 2009 so I had this crazy idea of climbing down the grill( down 2 floors) from the kitchen area. Selvan and I managed to climb down safely and we were in class. So much effort just to attend a physics class. Dhana called the warden after that and they cut open the lock with more effort then the previous occasion because this Solex lock is suppose to be hardened.

(stole this picture from shawn's blog) This is basically how high he climbed down. Not that high but you will certainly fracture your leg if you jump down.

Another lock bites the dust. No more locks for 11-2-a2 after this.

The heroes of the day. Mr Shurabil must be getting really good at this.

This is how they cut open the lock.
Lastly, for the Ponggal festival in KTT.It was organized by the ICS( Indian Cultural Society) headed by Dhana. He did a good job considering the limited time and budget.A good experience for KTT's students. On that day, Dhana lent his Kurta to us and we had a good time afterwards doing stupid poses.

Us doing Sharon's pose.( We're making this pose famous)

Who's the odd one out??

Me with Joel and 3/4 Chua and Daniel's head.

The dance during Ponggal. Miss Rajes(my bio lecturer in the dark blue saree) was the best dancer.

Usain Bolt or Fernando Torres? Neither...just copying Christine.

Pouring the milk into the container filled with rice.

The "best" picture.lol

Me testing Selvan's destroyed bed.

This was pretty much what happened on Selvan's bed.You can clearly see Selvan displaying his SuperCow Abilities.

BEHOLD...What you are Going to see next is very rare. The photographer of this picture risked his life and ran the whole length of KTT just to capture the next picture.
