Ushering in 2010 =)

Adios 2009~! Hola 2010~!
2009 passed by like a flash. It was an average year for me i suppose. If a rating system for the year 2009 was introduced, I would probably give it a 6/10. The early part of the year was awesome. However I got admitted in hospital in the middle of the year and I would say that August was the worst month of the year. I spent 11 long months in KTT and I really great learning and journeying with my fellow friends. I did ok in exams and I finally won a GOLD MEDAL for a football competition during FESKOTT (my sports day in college). I've always lost in the semis so it was an amazing feeling to finally win a final eventhough it was just at college level.

December was really fun though. I really enjoyed spending time at home and meeting up with my good friends from school. Nigel , my cousin from Singapore stayed with us for about 3 weeks so it was all good. We spent X'mas in Port Dickson and it was great to meet up with sooooo many family members there. The only sour note in december was that Aunty Clare lost her battle with cancer on Boxing day. :( Well, at least she does not have to suffer anymore and she is in a better place now.

For 2010, I want to be STRONGER~! ( spiritually, mentally, physically) . I'll continue to be a fighter and a fierce competitor. I vow to study harder and smarter than I've ever studied in my life( I'd have to when I'm in India, competing with the locals there) I'm really excited about starting my medical studies this year. Something I'm extremely interested in =)

I'll have to be more independent, learn how to cook and survive on my own too. I'll be working on my fitness and enjoy my holidays playing all my favourite sports and games . You see, I'm very different from most people. I don't have to go on a holiday to a far away place to enjoy myself. You can just drop me off in a nearby sports complex, give me a ball or a badminton racket and I'll have fun~!

I'm trying to pick up tennis and squash and I hope to master freestyle swimming by the end of my holidays.

I'll end my post with a lovely prayer and hopefully I can make the most of this new year. I'm really PUMPED UP for 2010~!!!!

"A new year is unfolding—like a blossom with petals curled tightly concealing the beauty within.

Lord, let this year be filled with the things that are truly good—with the comfort of warmth in our relationships, with the strength to help those who need our help and the humility and openness to accept help from others.

As we make our resolutions for the year ahead, let us go forward with great hope that all things can be possible—with Your help and guidance." I ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen =)
